Gary G. Kuhlmann

After receiving his Juris Doctor from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University in 1986, Gary G. Kuhlmann began his legal career practicing commercial and bankruptcy litigation in Arizona. He spent three years in Arizona before joining a Salt Lake firm where he continued to practice commercial and bankruptcy litigation, this time primarily representing creditors and bankruptcy trustees.

The 1990’s found Gary back home in St. George where he accepted the position of Deputy City Attorney. After fulfilling that capacity for nearly four years, Gary spent another five years serving St. George as the City Attorney.

In 1999, Gary bid farewell to his position as City Attorney and became the Town Attorney of Brian Head, UT. At the same time Gary returned to private practice, opening the doors of Gary G. Kuhlmann & Associates, P.C., the predecessor of Turner & Kuhlmann.

Gary continues to practice with Turner & Kuhlmann where he represents clients in matters involving land use and zoning, licensing and governmental regulation, criminal defense, family law, contracts and business entities.

Additionally, Gary currently serves as the city attorney for Enoch City (since 2000), the town attorney for Apple Valley (since 2007), and the Town Attorney for Leeds (since 2014). Gary is also the attorney for Hurricane Valley Fire Special Services Division (since 2011).

In addition to practicing law, Gary shares his expertise through teaching at local universities. In 1998 Gary began teaching business law, and later personal finance, at Dixie State College (now Dixie State University), where he continues to teach at the present time. Gary also spent several years as an Adjunct Professor of Business Law at Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah.
